Following a State Government commitment of $11 million for the construction of additional indoor court spaces in the City of Bunbury, the Bunbury Basketball Association (BBA) were identified as the potential facility manager following construction. Given their extensive experience in the sport, BBA also wished to be considered for facility construction managers. With our assistance, BBA worked with Basketball WA and stakeholders to develop an Operational Management Plan and associated documents to support transferring State government funding from the City of Bunbury to the Bunbury Basketball Association. The additional court spaces in the Bunbury region will support basketball participation and development and enable the use of existing facilities to support other court sports. Through detailed documentation and support from Basketball WA, BBA were identified as the preferred manager of both construction and operation of the facility into the future.
