Puntukurnu Aboriginal Medical Service (PAMS) provides a broad range of comprehensive primary health services to the Martu and Nyiyaparli people of Newman, Jigalong, Parnngurr, Punmu and Kunawarritji. PAMS works to advance positive health and well-being outcomes for families, children and young people. Working with PAMS, we prepared a business case including financial analysis and a BHP funding application for the employment of additional general practitioners (GP) to support increased clinical care and chronic disease support. PAMS was awarded $2 million from BHP, enabling them to provide two additional GPs for a 2-year period.
