WMHSAC deliver clinical, social, and emotional well-being care to the community in the Pilbara. With a continually expanding range of programs and services delivered over multiple locations, WMSHAC identified the need for staff to have practical risk assessment and mitigation skills. Ascentive worked with WMHSAC to design and deliver a tailored risk management training package for client-facing staff and managers. This included the development of the program with input from the executive team. The training sessions were tailored to those attending, focusing on relevant risk management topics, and included online support to assist in the real-time development of resources. A comprehensive engagement report outlined key recommendations for further improvements in risk management practices. The outcomes of this engagement with WMHSAC included a team of staff across various levels with a clear understanding of the importance of risk management in service delivery, strategic development, and staff health and well-being. Functional resources and templates to assist in identifying, recording, managing and reviewing risk are also available for everyday use.
