The Dumbleyung community view their pool as an incredibly important asset for learning to swim, fitness and water-based play. The previous facility was closed in October 2021 after a series of plant room and pool basin failures were identified by staff during pre-season inspections. Time was of the essence with this project to ensure funding could be sought and the pool re-opened as soon as possible. On commencement, we prepared a project timeline and worked with the Council and the project architects to ensure that all elements of the needs assessment and funding application were completed by the deadline. This included proactive project management to identify the inputs we needed from others and communicate well ahead of time as we were able to manage our resources closely and finalise all deliverables. Based on the work of the community, Council and our team, the project achieved $3.2 million in CSRFF 2024/25 and GRP Round 2 funding.
