As an accomplished economist, Brian brings impressive experience and academic credentials to the table, with a PHD from the University of Western Australia and dual degrees in Agricultural Science and Economics. Brian is also a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors course.
With experience as extensive as his education, Brian has navigated between the private sector and governmental roles, amassing expertise in areas such as cost benefit analysis, business case development, economic impact analysis and funding applications. Recently, his work has focused on cost benefit assessments for major infrastructure projects ranging from $65-$600 million.
Beyond numbers and analyses, Brian is passionate about a range of humanitarian issues. His compassion for refugees is evident in his concern of their plight and treatment within Australia. And with a sense of urgency to save the planet for his grandchildren and future generations, Brian is committed to environmental sustainability and finding ways to make the world a better place.
Brian’s ideal holiday destination would be the confluence of the Zambezi and Luangwa Rivers in Zambia, to have the opportunity to connect with the locals. He’s always wanted to learn the Chikunda language, to be able to engage and form a deeper connection with the Zambian people.
