Emily Sleight

Projects Officer

Emily brings a rich blend of experiences and passion to the Ascentive team as a Project Oficer. Armed with skills honed at LG Professionals WA and WALGA, Emily’s professional journey has been one focused on community development. With 15 years experience in agriculture before transitioning to roles in sports, recreation, and project management within local government, Emily has been able to engage with many community-driven initiatives throughout her career.

With a curiosity to explore different perspectives, Emily’s approach is all about finding unique solutions to challenges. Her dedication has been evident in key achievements such as the creation and presentation of a local government’s Trails Master Plan, and the construction of a 4-court multipurpose facility, delivered on time, over scope, and under budget.

Her passion lies in empowering communities and not-for-profit organisations to achieve their goals, improve outcomes and create positive impact. Community facility upgrades are especially enjoyable projects for Emily, collaborating with dedicated individuals to garner successful results.

Away from her work, Emily enjoys off-grid camping with her family, and immersing herself in nature, whether it’s the outback or the beach. But you won’t catch her anywhere near seaweed, it’s the one thing she’s terrified of! Emily also has a keen interest in the restoration of vintage and classic cars, and would one day love to master the skill of rust removal and panel shaping for her 1939 Pontiac.
